IZH46M Repair - Reseal - experience
I have bought a used IZH46M. After a few pellets it started to loose compression. Found out that EAA sells a seal kit and ordered it. Exchanged all parts except the lock and it didn't help at all. Now I want to exchange the lock and I don't know what is the right way and order to do it. I figured out from the manual that I have to remove the valve seat or/and the bush in order to get to the rubber lock but I couldn't remove the pin underneat and I am affraid to appy to much force. Who has experience with changing the lock or knows a gunsmith who is familiar with IZH46Ms? I am so eager to shoot it again! It's so much fun and I miss it every day!
Thanks,
Robert from Texas

This is a very good set of slides - actually found them after I took the gun appart by myself. The cylinder seal seems to be new - looks like the pre owner tried it also.
I have searched the internet for days looking for any information on what might help - didn't find anything.
I had also a gun smith look at the IZH46M - he services quite a few of these air guns but he had never had to replace the lock seal - so he couldn't help me.
We tried to remove the pin just below the bush but we couldn't - too much force required. I am affraid to destroy the gun if I don't know exactly which steps are required for disassembling.
Thanks,
Robert

During my vacation I had an idea how you could easiest get to the information of a good air gun dealer and gun smith - contact the Dallas Pistol Club under: http://www.dallaspistolclub.com/
They can help you with information.
I have no solution yet for my problem - a cut away model picture would be perfect for my purpose, but I suppose there is nothing like that available. I did not get any information from EAA nor from Baikal.ru.
I will buy a new IZH46M and maybe do a cut away model out of mine.
I usually do not give up that easy but I want to shoot!!!!
Thanks for your posts.
