Removing stock of Daisy 853 - help!

Is it complicated to remove the barrel and action of the 853 from the stock? If not, I would appreciate a description of how it is done. Object: to refinish the stock.

Call Daisy and buy the tape and repair kit for roughly $20.00. The tape explains everything, you can just follow along. (rewinding a lot). The kit includes seals and springs. That's how I did it.
