This is the type of positive journalism that will win converts to ISSF style shooting, and expand the interest of young ladies to shoot competitively. This story has all the elements we, as shooters striving to nurture the sport particularly in the US, need in a story..because it wasn't a pure shooting story, it was a human interest story about a novice, highly successful shooter. My excitement is that the broadcast doesn't come across as propoganda, and with Avianna's warmth of presentation, the story clearly wins friends for our shooting sports. USA Shooting ought to use this as a suggested model for TV journalists unfamiliar with the shooting sports that seek to interview their athletes...journalists shouldn't be offended by the suggestion. Good on you Avianna & Patrick for continued positive contributions to our ISSF shooting sports.
