What are some ways to stop the inconsistant distortion caused by glasses moving? I have considered contacts, but I look like a fetel pig with a drug problem when I do not where my glasses.

Stop messing around with normal glasses and buy some shooting frames!

My scores improved considerably when I purchased shooting frames and went to a sports vision specialist. My prescription is -9.75R and -9.25L, so being able to look through the exact centre of the lens made a huge difference to me.

As for brand or model of frame, get what you can afford. Ask around your club to see what other shooters prefer, and why. Bring your frames with you when you go to the optometrist so he/she can measure focal lengths and such (some will even let you bring your rifle or pistol).

If all you want to do is plink at tin cans, don't worry about it. But if you want to make precise little holes in paper from 50 ft, 20 yds or 50 m, save your pennies and get some shooting glasses!
