While not exactly the same thing . ..
While removing a CO2 tank from a Daisy 888 earlier this year, the stell chamber which mates teh tank to the receiver, came off with the tank. Since this is the part which seals the tank and opens teh tank valve, the tank vented all of its CO2. I was replacing a low tank, so there was no real force involved and the champer still has a small metering hole, so the CO2 leasked out at a controled rate.
Real problem was all the fun I had fixing the gun!
