Morini 162EI Grips

Post by ELPRESADOR »

Hi all,

I recently bought a Morini CM162CI. It was a bit of a project that hadn't been used for a while, it wouldn't hold air and had consistency issues but for the money I couldn't say no.

Now I've got it shooting lovely again my attention has moved to the grip, which is painfully small for me. It's a small grip and I need a medium/large.

The problem is grips for these guns don't seem to be very common in the UK. We seem to have one supplier who wants £285 for a OEM morini grip.

I'm aware of Rink, but the 12-14 week delivery time has put me off.

Is anyone aware of any other options I could look at? I'd like to keep costs low as this is just something I'm plinking in the garage with at the moment, I'm not taking it too seriously.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

£285 for an OEM morini grip is actually not a bad deal, it's 286€ in germany which when taking conversion rates and import tax into account would cost you significantly more. Your best bet is to track down something used.

I don't doubt the price, the work that goes into them must be immense and the inletting doesn't look simple at all with the circuit board area.

I'm just wondering what else is out there, I've seen the smart grip which looks cool but they don't fit my pistol. The Rink grips look lovely but seem to be less money than the Morini. Even a 3D printed grip would suit me fine.

Meshpro offers a well designed 3D printed grip for the 162EI, not sure how compatible that is but they also offer an "other" option, but you should check the price on your end if it's any different and if the delivery time suits you. Compared to EU prices you would be saving about 15 euros or so compared to an original Morini grip. Apart from that, there are no cheap options unless you're buying used

I'm not sure if he ships internationally, but Precision Target Pistol Grips can 3D print you a custom grip for a lot less money than other options.

To answer George's question, yes, I do ship pistol grips internationally for a flat $25. I'd be happy to help out with a custom grip for the original poster's Morini 162ei. Here is a link to order.

Any one is welcome to reach out if they have any other questions.

SportShootingDepot has Rink grips for 162 EI or M grips size medium in stock right now. Shipping to UK is approximately 2 weeks with regular USPS

Also the turnaround for custom RINK grips is as low as 4 weeks (all orderes pulled and submitted to Rink on 15th of each month and finished grips arrive by 15th of the next month)

I ordered three Rink grips for Benelli Kites on October 10th last year for the team I help coach. They arrived in late February. Some of that is shipping & customs delays, but it took about 3 months to ship.

I think there's been a flood of orders due to the sudden interest in Olympic air pistol shooting.

Well that's good for the sport and very good for them but I'm not willing to wait that long.

I've picked up a bit of walnut this weekend, watch this space.

There is a long lead time for the walk-in orders when ordering from Rink directly. Should always go through your regional dealer as they have reserved monthly priority for manufacturing some set number of grips. For US should use SportShootingDepot - official Rink dealer in US (also shipping worldwide)
We are consistently getting custom Rink grips to our customers in as little as 4 weeks and no longer than 8 weeks (plus shipping time from Michigan to final destination).

In your particular case it would be November 20-22th:
Order received on Oct 10
Manufacturing request submitted to Rink on Oct 15
Grips completed and sent to USA first week of November
Shipment arrives to Michigan around Nov 15
Your grips packed/sent next day and arrive to MA by Nov 20

Hi, I've just received a Rink grip for my CM200EI, and as you said, it took around to six weeks to arrive here in Spain. BUT you have one option in the same Rink website, that offers grips in stock ready for sale without waiting, you only have to take a look on the link and if you are lucky, maybe they have the size and color (or similar) that you want.

I hope you can find something interesting there ;)

@ABerryhill - I tried sending you a PM, but guess I don't have enough rep on this site. I want to buy a custom grip, and sent you some questions to your PrecisionTargetPistolGrips @ gmail.com
