Late last year a fellow who's involved with handicapped air rifle shooters asked if I could check out his Anschutz 8002 that he apparently acquired second hand. When attaching the air tank it would dump the air at once. I've never worked on an Anschutz before, but there's a dearth of qualified airgun smiths here in Coffee Country so I told him I'd be glad to at least give it a looksee. I put some air in the tank and then screwed the tank on and the air immediately dumped, leaving a bit of a presumably silicone oil mark between the front and rear portions of the receiver.
Upon tearing into the rifle I found the regulator in this condition. The exploded parts view I was able to locate doesn't show that spring at the rear of the regulator, nor does it show the internal workings of the regulator. My best guess at this point (still looking to locate the proper o-rings to reseal what I can) is that there's a problem with the regulator, but that's just a guess. Where might one source a new regulator from?
As mentioned, here between the Canal and the Equator we simply don't have airgun smiths so as usual I'm doing what I can (have been fairly successful to date), but locating spares is the big hurdle. Any help in analyzing what's going on with that spring and possibly locating a proper replacement regulator would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Anshutz 8002 Regulator question
I'm a peaceful man and prefer the pursuit of peaceful sports. The shooting sports tend to promote self control and are peaceably participated in by those who know that their greatest challenge is their need to continually hone their own abilities.
