Noticed my Evo was feeling sluggish and put it on the chrono, 430 fps
Adjusted it to 520 and was good for a few shots ( 10) before it started to drop off again.
O rings look good, no air escaping at the breach.

Is there an obvious thing i can look for around the hammer spring area or should i just send it in ?

Not many videos on the Tube for this kind of troubleshooting.

Any pointers happily received.

Go cheap first: new hammer spring. Use some nail polish to ensure the tension screw isn't backing out.

I found the issue - I had not tensioned the small retainer screw correctly. It was allowing the adjuster screw to move and lose velocity.
It is now set around 518 fps. Occasionally it drops down to about 510 - is this within normal tolerance? Should I change the hammer spring anyway?
Do you send your regulator away for an occasional service or is it a leave alone item?
My pistol has around 20,000 shots on it.

I bought a spare regulator to have on hand. That way if one fails, you have your choice to send in or rebuild your faulty unit.

I think that is a good call, cheaper than a spare gun.

You can get a good deal on a spare regulator AND a new cylinder & spare fill adapter by purchasing the Steyr CO2 conversion kit.

I like the way you think!!! You might be able to get it even cheaper by telling them to keep the fill adapter (you have one).
