COLO SPRGS, CO (May 10, 2024) – Ada Korkhin, of Brookline Massachusetts, and Henry Leverett, of Bainbridge, Georgia, qualified for the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
Korkhin qualified for her first Olympic Games in Women’s 25m Sport Pistol. The Ohio State University student-athlete finished second overall in the U.S. Olympic Trials-shooting, a three part competition.
Korkhin will be making her Olympic debut at just 20 years old, and she is no stranger to international success. The pistol shooter earned a gold medal at the 2024 Championship of the Americas (CAT) Games in Women’s 25m Sport Pistol Team where she was joined on the podium with teammates Katelyn Abeln and Lisa Emmert Traciak.
In 2023 Korkhin added another impressive medal to her collection. She took home bronze at the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) Junior World Championship in Women’s 25m Sport Pistol. Korkhin will be competing with pistol teammates Alexis Lagan and Abeln in Paris 2024.
Leverett qualified for his second Olympic Games in Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol after his teammate Keith Sanderson earn a second U.S. Olympic quota in the event. Leverett finished second overall in Men’s 25m Sport Pistol at the conclusion of the U.S. Olympic Trials- shooting, but the team only had one quota at the time for Paris 2024.
