Shooting Glasses for cheapskates

Here is an easy and VERY inexpensive way to see if shooting Glasses might help your sight picture. If you wear glasses for driving, get a set of the lowest power clip-on reading Glasses you can find. I looked for +0.75, but +1.00 was the best I could do. Use a strip of 1" Scotch Magic tape to occlude your non aiming eye and a strip of electrical tape with a hole produced with a leather punch for an aperture ‐ 2 to 3 mm will be about right. Line everything up by aiming your pistol at the bathroom mirror and stick the two pieces of tape where they need to go on the flipped down lenses.
If you don't wear glasses, you can get +0.75 plastic lens reading glasses via the internet and everything else is the same.
This setup allows you to move the strips of tape to wherever they work best, adjust the size of aperture, and even change the tilt of your head for no cost. I found a big improvement in sharpness of the front sight, a slight improvement in target focus and easier concentration on the sights. All for less than $15.
If and when I decide to drop some $$ on custom shooting glasses, I will know just what to ask for.
