Pardini SP Broken Slide Retaining Spring

HI all, we have an early model SP (Serial B88***) in our club armoury which appears to have a broken slide stop spring (#720) as the plunger (#719) moves freely. The assembly is held in with a pin (#718), located behind the plug (#703E). Its difficult to see how the spring can break, has anyone seen this problem before? Any tricks to removing (and replacing) pin 718 and the slide stop plunger assembly? This will be DIY as there are few (none?) gunsmiths in Singapore. Thanks in anticipation!

That's a new one on me. It's also possible the ring on the plunger the spring pushes on has broken off.
In either case, it doesn't look overly tricky to take apart and examine. It's not a critical application, so you should be able to find a suitable spring you can cut down to get it working again. If it's the plunger, I suspect it may be hard to obtain a factory replacement. It looks like an easy part to crank out on a lathe.
Good luck!

Use a good quality punch to knock out the pin.
It will not be tapered , so should knock out from either side.

The pin has snapped, common if the gun is bench rested pushing the pin up during firing. Easy fix.
