First time using the pants and seem to be holding the nine ring, was holding the eight ring prior.

These new pants are double canvas, each of the 2 thickness is 0.040" , with I think a bonding sheet of approx 0.020", Total thickness is 0.095" to 0.100"
I am curious about this as they are very stiff and am wondering if this 427 model has always been this stiff. Reason being the Hienz R youtube videos, He states the increase in scores from the2016 Rio Olympics to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, 624 to 628.5 was primarily due to the rule change for thickness 6.5.1, and stiffness 6.5.2. Some manufacturers ugraded to stiffer, some did not. The reason for this information search is I am considering an upgrade , new jacket of the same/recent updated rigidity. Can also contact Gehmann and ask.

The new pants may have had something to do with my recent better Standing scores. After a year of training, am starting to see good results, hang in there and stay cool, relax.
