Converting the fwb 601 to pcp
Can the FWB 601 BE CONVERTED TO P70 status??
Re: Converting the fwb 601 to pcp
I don't know much about these specific guns, but I highly doubt it. Not only are you talking about removing the entire pump mechanism, but then you'd have to figure out how to install a regulator to drop the PCP pressure to something reasonable. Even then, I assume the valves work differently between a SSP and PCP -- I assume the SSP releases all the pressure each time the trigger is pulled, whereas the PCP needs to release only a finely controlled amount on each shot.

The answer is yes.
If you have a lathe and mill and want to do it bad enough. In the end you will have a lot of time invested in something that doesn't need to be converted. You can buy brand new stuff for less than inventing a path to conversion. I wouldn't touch this as a project.

Major league project. Forget it. Sell the 601 and buy a P70.
