I’m very ignorant on shooting suits. My daughter is progressing to the point where I am considering buying her one, but I’m not sure of the advantages.
Testing ISSF rules, the trousers must be loose around the legs. How do these benefit the shooter? Also, how does the jacket help?
Is the Champion’s Choice suit worth the money, or should I save and look for something better?

A good fitting suit will greatly enhance the stability in standing. Pants and Jacket combine to provide stability in kneeling with the padding on the elbows and knees which prevents any skilling on the contact surfaces. In prone a jacket provides padding for the elbow as well as a sling keeper to help maintain consistent placement of the sling in the arm.

Champion choice coats and pants are good entry level off-she shelf suits.

I have a Capapie suit and love it. Custom made at about 1/2 the cost of most other high end clothiers. Every one of the medalists from the recent World Cup all had capapie.

ETA: Any jacket you end up buying will need to be fitted to your junior. Moving buttons is fairly easy by poking or drilling a hole at the appropriate spot to provide the best tension. Its best to consult with a coach or other athlete that has experience with adjusting buttons.

My daughter had been shooting sporter 3p with a Crosman Challenger We started going to a rifle club to start shooting precision. She was still using the Challenger. We were able to borrow a Champions Choice coat and trousers. Her scores dropped at first but began to improve after a while. She said that when I bought her shooting boots that she felt even more stable. We are still learning. I will probably purchase her own suit sometime this year. I will probably stay with Champions Choice because she’s young and may change her mind about shooting. I hope not but you never know. Hopefully my story is helpful

I’m currently thinking along the same lines as dadsbroke, but with the mind that if we keep progressing I will follow up with some of the recommended higher end makers.
