Missing last phalanx

I'd like to know if anyone has any solutions for a shooter who is missing the last phalanx of all fingers. We have a boy interested in AP or AR so his hand is small to begin with; I'd like to find a way to help him reach the trigger. A custom grip might do it, but our jr. rifles have a wooden stock so the grip is not a separate part. Anyway, I'm not necessarily asking for suggestions. Rather, I wonder if someone has figured this out already. Thanks!

Why not go the other direction and create "The Famed Booger Hook."
Cheap...easy.

Rover is an Idiot.
I am missing the first joint of my trigger finger.
With air pistol I built up the rear of the grip forcing my hand
Around the grip, this way I can shoot with my 2nd joint.
I fashioned a palm side plate to keep my hand in place.
With rifle I just force my finger into the trigger.
This is not the way to good scores, but is the best I can do.

I wish Andrew Berryhill would jump in.......
You might have a conversation about 3d printing what you need

I have no monetary interest in this

Thanks for all of your ideas (well, most of them). I'm aware of Andrew's work, but the young shooter in question is still using a club rifle. Up to now the only modification we have implemented is a 3-D adjustable trigger shoe designed for field target (made in the UK). And, of course, a shooting stand. He can shoot a 60-shot match with only one hit in the white, so I think he's doing pretty good. A custom grip will be a consideration if and when he gets his own rifle. This boy has great focus and follow-through like I've never seen in someone not yet 8 years old. It's been great watching him improve!

Don Plante has a similar problem, so he shoots with his middle finger.
We have nicknamed him "Stinkfinger."
