Those look very competitive compared to Pardini. If he can provide the same level of support as Pardini USA, things could get interesting. Any .32acp option on the MG4? Any idea on air pistol prices?

You'd have to contact MGUSA.
The only interesting information that was shared in other correspondence is that they think the 7" bullseye is too heavy.

Re: Mg2/MG4 bullseye specific Pistols
Based on the photos on Matchguns website they appear to have made some changes to MG2 models around the muzzle weight area.

Internal changes as well JB. Also now called “EVO”
Re: Mg2/MG4 bullseye specific Pistols
From the photo looks like they also redesigned the upper top at case exit area. now MG2 RF looks like MG4 and bolt has support from top and under during its entire cycle.
Re: Mg2/MG4 bullseye specific Pistols
It looks like they have removed the rubber buffer plate as well.
Re: Mg2/MG4 bullseye specific Pistols
The top half has been redesigned. It now comes off, along with the barrel, by removing just 1 screw instead of 7 screws. Jon Eulette is the man in the know on the MG2. He was kind enough to let me shoot his MG2 and it is a very comfortable gun to shoot, balances well and has an excellent trigger. It takes a little getting used to because the design is so different, but the shooting characteristics are great. I fired it about 50 times with Tenex and CCI SV and had no functioning issues.
Re: Mg2/MG4 bullseye specific Pistols
bea could you take some pictures of the new MG2?
Re: Mg2/MG4 bullseye specific Pistols
The MG2 that I shot was not the EVO. The pistol has been returned to Jon. The information I got about the EVO came directly from Matchguns by email.

Here are pictures of the RF EVO and the Standard EVO.
Re: Mg2/MG4 bullseye specific Pistols
Nice to see the big reduction in the number of assembly screws. The muzzle weight shape on the RF is intriguing.

Re: Mg2/MG4 bullseye specific Pistols
This “ evolution “ redesign has been undertaken to eliminate the malfunctioning that some examples were famous ( infamous ) for despite many upgrades to various levers and other parts.
If buying new I would definitely make sure your order is for the EVO.

Re: Mg2/MG4 bullseye specific Pistols
I think that the troubles are mostly with the very early ones. I have the model just before the EVO and I haven't had any issues. Also, it gobbles up any brand of ammo. Been a great pistol, light, and very suited to me.

I have been told that one screw does not remove both barrel and slide cover together.
I would be keen to hear more of what you have been told BEA. Undoubtedly a better design than earlier versions.
I have owned four MG2 pistols and the problematic ones have appeared at any level of production right up to latest pre EVO model. From 2006-2018.I think that the troubles are mostly with the very early ones.
This design overhaul is hopefully made to have all MG2’s work equally as well as the next.
Re: Mg2/MG4 bullseye specific Pistols
It looks like one screw allows the removal of the muzzle weight/barrel assembly which then allows the blue top plate to be slid out from the frame. I would expect the slide or bolt is still held in until after the rods and springs are removed.
Re: Mg2/MG4 bullseye specific Pistols
I wonder if the MG4 will get the same changes?

Re: Mg2/MG4 bullseye specific Pistols
I asked the same question and was told that there will definitely be no changes applied to the MG4.I wonder if the MG4 will get the same changes?
I feel that it would be an opportunity lost if it were not to happen.....however JM was emphatic.
