My suggestion is to buy a couple of loading manuals. Not only will you get loading data, but also directions on HOW to reload.
But, basically you want around 800fps with your 185 bullets.
You may want to try lead bullets. They're much cheaper and also use less powder.

I called zero. They suggest me to look at Hornady 185 jph. So this is what i found. 4.1 gr VV N310
185 gr Nosler JHP
New Winchester primed brass
1.20" overall length
approx 800 fps
Would that be a good point to start?

185gr JHP, 1.204” COA, 0.469” crimp, 4.2gn VV N310, CCI Lg. pistol primer, Starline once fired case
chrono tested 775fps avg.
This is a good 50-yd SF load. You can also use 4.2gn Bullseye powder.
You can drop to 3.8gn of BE or VV N310 for a 25yd load.

I'm attaching a pdf of an excel spreadsheet for Zero 185-gr bullets (JHP AND LSWC-HP). These are my favorite bullets; the JHP is terrifically accurate at 50 yards (likes to go fast) and the LSWC-HP makes perfect cookie-cutter holes. I don't know why but they almost make me giggle, not that target shooting is fun. I'm curious as to how many shots were fired for each group and the pistol used. Were these groups fired in a machine rest?

All,
Should have said more about the data; they are compiled from published manufacturer load books and from my shooting trial and error; about 25% were shot with Ransom rest and the remaining using a decent pistol rest. My current loads: long ling, 4.5gr VV N310, OAL: 1.20", crimp: 0.469; timed and rapid fire, 3.8gr BE, OAL: 1.215, same crimp. In practice, I have shot a 97-7x with the long line load and this is the purported "AMU load" using new or once-fired brass. Bullseye powder is a good substitute for VVN310, but not exact for all charge weights. For my pistol (a 6-inch Rock River), I have to raise the Aimpoint red dot 8 clicks for the long line load (zero is 25 yards).
I repeat, the data are simply intended as a guideline. If you don't have one, get a chronograph as they really help in load development and to understand what is going on with your loads. I don't think I've ever shot Power Pistol or Clays with a 45. dipnet

DN,
If you pull a JHP bullet from one of your loads, do you have a slight distortion where the crimp is? I have been concerned about too much crimp.
I would like those Zeros to shoot at their optimum. Bad enough I have to hold the gun.
Thanks in Advance
Alex

Alex,
Yep, slight depression at the crimp (a ring) but not to worry; it does not affect accuracy at least at 50 yards and probably not at all with respects to pistol accuracy. dipnet

I've had good success with 4.2 gr. of BE.

I use 3.8gr Bullseye with the 185jhp. You can go to 3.6gr with lead.I also switched out my recoil spring with a 10lb spring and even manage to find all my brass.

Is that a typo? I've never seen VV N100 and all the N1xx powders are rifle powder and probably too slow for pistol.

All,
The VVN100 is a typo; thanks for catching the error. I've corrected the file and attached a pdf. Thanks, dipnet

For 50ft to 25 yards I have used 3.7 gr. HS-700X, Rem 2 1/2, behind the 185 gr. LSWC for remarkably consistent velocity of ca 710 fps with as very low SD. A very accurate and pleasant shooting load.
