Saturday for the, first time ever, NC State held a rifle match against WVU in its Reynolds Coliseum venue. WVU of course won but there was an estimated crowd of over 1,800 at the match.

Lucas Kozeniesky of NCSU beat Ginny Thrasher by a few tenths in the air rifle finals.

Wonder if this was the first time with Two Olympians competing in College. Congrats all around.

Wish I had been in town to see. Maybe in January...

Were they using the traps that AKRON had made last year? (or like them)

I don't know about the bullet traps, I think they are State's design.

As far as Olympians go WVU has had a large number of alums in the Olympics dating back to Bruce Meredith and Jack Writer from the 60s. It is an interesting question if 2 have been on the line together after the Olympics while still in college.

In fact Thrasher didn't even win the most golds this year from WVU alums. That was Nicco Campriani who won 2 golds.
