I recently upgraded to Windows 10. Does anyone know how I can capture the streaming video files without purchasing additional software?

Open the Xbox app, switch to the browser, hit Window+G, answer Yes, this is a game. Then you can hit record video, and it will screen+audio to MP4 format. Meant to record games, but works fine in recording streaming video. :)

VLC can also capture video streams it can also capture screen (what you see is what you get).
