Hammerli P240 information needed.

Post by val7711 »

Need some information on Hammelri P240

1). Who imported them ?

2). What years were they made ? Imported?

3).What importation makings are normally found on the guns and where?

4). Can a P240 that was made in .32wc be converted to 38 ? .22? And what is the best source for parts/kits?

5). If there are NO IMPORTATION markings on the gun , does it mean that it was imported and sold buy SIG USA?

6). What is a good source of std factory grips ( no the adjudtable target grips)

7). What factory loaded ammo available in US would be a decent load for shooting a P240 .32

Thank You .

Thank You . Good article.
Mine has no importation markings. Was it just imported by SIG?

Greetings,

I "think" Grieder imported some for Gil Hebard.

There is one on GunBroker with "Mandell's of Arizona" engraved on the side.

If yours has no markings/engravings be grateful.

You can always contact Carl Walther GMBH and ask who the pistol was shipped to originally.

Cheers,

Dave

No import mark probably indicates it was privately imported.

Greetings,

I admire the workmanship of the pistols I own. I feel that scribing names or logos on the pistol that were not done by the factory to degrade the "artistic" value of the pistol.

I feel the same way about drilling holes in the pistol for optical sights.

Cheers,

Dave
