Spencer Tweedie's pdf

I just came across a brief pdf by Spencer Tweedie (2009) advising ISSF precision pistol shooters. He states that if you focus on the front sight solely, the alignment with the rear notch will occur automatically. Is this the essential next step to better accuracy? Right now I am focusing on the front sight while effortfully maintaining sight alignment and, allowing for minimal wobble, squeezing the trigger smoothly.
