FYI... I found this on the Bullseye-L forum:
This could be the 2017 home of the smallbore nationals if Camp Perry doesn't work out.
Looks like they will include at least 200 smallbore firing points with distance of up to 100 meters.Good news,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am pleased to announce that the Cardinal Shooting Center and Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation have come to an agreement to host the 2016 and future Scholastic Action Pistol Program and the Scholastic Clay Target Program National Championships.
This multi-year deal gives high school and college age competitors a facility that can hold both pistol and shotgun national event programs concurrently.
This event, scheduled for the week of July 9th, 2016, is projected to have 2500 competitors.
Cardinal Shooting Center has increased the size of the pistol and Small bore range complex to accommodate the estimated 500 action pistol and 2000 shotgun competitors. This expansion will give Cardinal Shooting Center 15 action pistol pits, 300 bullseye pistol points, for a total of 450 firing points. 200 of those points will be capable of 100 meters.
Work on the building of the pistol complex was started yesterday.
The bullseye pistol ranges are now scheduled for the first shot at pistol range 1, which is a 50 point, 50 yard range with turning targets, September 1st with the next three ranges coming on line in one a month increments. We will be shooting at least two 2700 pistol matches in September of this year.
Pistol, and Small Bore Rifle competitors will now have a new range complex with all the amenities that they have been asking for. Covered firing points, with concrete, Gravel walkways, and concrete walls between ranges and new turning target system to be used with paper targets.
Stay tuned for more announcements of up coming events at the Cardinal Shooting Center.
