Scientific studies have identified stable holding ability as the most important aspect of shooting technique. Hold-trainer is a new training app, designed to improve holding ability. This app provides a real-time audio feedback from the stability of hold, which improves holding training quality and learning. Hold-trainer also calculates a stability score after each training session, which helps shooters track their training progress over longer periods of time. The app requires a strong magnet in order to work. Hold-trainer is available on Android and will be released soon on iOS.

Looks good! My nexus 5 has a Hall sensor, is that ok? How many magnets would you suggest?
Thanks

Even though newer phones use solid state hard drives, I have to wonder if the magnet can be damaging in any way.

Many phone cases use permanent magnets as a locking mechanism. We have done extensive testing (neodymium magnets, we have used this pack of ten
http://www.clasohlson.com/fi/Neodym-mag ... r311466000) with Samsung Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5 without any problems. We haven’t been able to test the app with Nexus, so I can’t give you a definitive answer. The app should work in phones with Android 4.3 and up, equipped with a magnetometer. You can cancel and return the Play store purchase within 2 hours free of charge. If magnetometer is not supported in your device, the app lets you know it immediately. Sorry for the inconclusive answer.

If you have a Scatt, you can set it up to do this by turning on the audio feedback feature and setting the frequencies for the various rings.

Yes, you are absolutely right, you can do pretty much the same thing with Scatt or Noptel. There is a slight difference, since with Scatt/Noptel feedback you are concentrating both on aiming and holding, and with this app you concentrate only on holding. This is also considerably more affordable option, and not every shooter is able to train with Scatt or Noptel.
