I like playing with stuff. Modify grip, adjust things, etc. I just bought a Steyr LP10 with two blue cylinders. I'm not terribly fond of blue and they only have a year or so left on certification. I'm considering doing something with hydrographic design to spice them up. Just something a little different.

Anyone tried this?

Get it straight, Rover. Everybody knows racing stripes increase torque, not horsepower.

Not quite my taste, but does seem to be possible. Found it here, says little else other than that it was probably a hydro graphic application.

That one isn't really to my taste either, but at least it's original. I had some carbon fiber look vinyl in the garage, so I tried it out.

They'll dip wrap just about anything from a pocket knife to a pickup truck. I've seen the pictures from SHOT Show.

Had a rifle stock done for an older Anschutz air gun.
Over the top burl walnut.
Done so well I had a couple of gun guys saying "I can't believe you wasted a piece of walnut that good on an air rifle".
The guy I used here in OKC says that if an object can be dipped in water without harm colors and patterns are just
about limitless.

How well does that hold up to continued use? For example on a rifle, the spot where the hand goes under the stock when in prone or kneeling would get a lot of continuous wear. Seems like something like that would wear out fast in those spots.

After the graphic is applied, you spray it with clear. Lasts like paint because it is covered in paint.
