Toz-35 trigger weight adjustment nut

Post by shaky hands »

Is there a credited way to replace the plastic trigger weight adjustment nut (Toz part #10) with a metal one? Mine is stripped and I wonder if ordering another plastic nut from Larry's guns is the only way to go.
Thanks in advance.

The reason it's plastic is so the adjustments don't shift, think of it having the same effect as a nylock nut. It you replace it with a metal one, it will work the same but might move over time.

If you are stripping the plastic nut, you are proably trying to adjust the trigger to a heavier weight than it was designed for.

Yes, you can change it to a metal one. Take a nut that fits the screw (M3 if I'm not mistaken) and file of two opposing faces (similar to a pyramid) so that it sits in the metal leaf and it doesn't turn when you screw it in. Mine is like that. It came with that modification previously done by a former owner.

Just use a bit of nail varnish or non permanent loctite if you find it comes unlose with time.

Hope this helps
