What value is the adjusting screw other than override, and what is the correct adjustment?
Thanks

With trigger pulled to rear, the Hammer must be able to rotate without hitting the sear. If it hits the sear it will deform the sear and the Half cock notch. I regularly work on pistols that are set up to tight and damaged. Screw is only for overtravel.

Its only function is over travel, to test ;hold trigger all the way in, rock hammer back and forth with your thumb, if you feel anything like its rubbing, back the trigger screw out a 1/4 turn at a time till you don't feel any rubbing then back out 1/8 more and your good.

Gunrunner & Jon Eulette:
Thank you both for the information on the trigger stop.
Have 4 ,1911 in NM style but only one with this set up.
As a Rifle shooter, am aware of the over travel thing
