Having purchased a Steyr LP50 Compact from our host for Bullseye pistol training and general good time trying to make little groups on German cardstock, I have a question for other Steyr owners.

The Steyr LP models can adjust how their frames fit in the grip to adjust grip angle, cant and barrel angle to grip centerline. How long did it take you to sort out the different adjustments to suit your stance and hold and do you still make minor adjustments later on? I can see it as being a work in progress for a while, (a neutral observation).

It took me about twenty minutes to get it in the ballpark. Then I shoot it for a couple of days without change. Made minor adjustments two or three times since (two years ago).

If you're having trouble with it, is because you probably aren't locking your wrist in the same position every time.

Make a conscious effort to grip it and lock your wrist a couple of times, then adjust accordingly.

Then if you can't get it to line up once or twice, check your grip and wrist, because odds are the problem lies in your side of the grip... :)

Not really having problems with it yet, just getting everything settled in as I work on the grip to fit my hand. It reminds me of setting up a racing bicycle and trying to get all the subtle adjustments just right for the long haul.

You're not just whistling Dixie about the grip-nut being the most likely weak variable in this shooting equation.
