Ultra Dot

Has anyone had an Ultra Dot that when you looked thru it the target appears smaller? I have the same model dot ( 30 mm ) mounted on both my 22 and 45. One when you look thru it there is little to no change but the other there is a noticeable difference.

Negative magnification has been an UltraDot problem for years. I've complained several times to the factory and always get the same response, that the individual lenses are within spec and the occasional negative magnification is from "tolerance stacking". That's bull, almost 100% of the new 1" Ultradots I've seen in the last 5 years have this issue, less so in the MatchDots, but it's still present in most of them. Too bad, otherwise they are a fine Bullseye scope.
