Has anyone had or seen this fault before ?
Morini Air pistol that flattens the AAA batteries over a week.
The trigger functions as per normal, red light etc. Switch appears
to work as normal, but batteries leak down.

Hello David,
Yes, I have seen this but it was way back around 2005. new AAA batteries died in 5 days. The problem was with the circuit. We got it changed and it was ok after that.
Not only that there were more problems with the circuit and still are. I have seen with in the last 2 months 5 pistols not working because of the circuit. The moment we change the circuit pistol works fine.
In one of the circuits there is a delay of a few seconds from the point you finish the 2nd pull and the shot going off.
I think it is to do with the batch of circuits they get, special the AAA circuits.
I have never seen any problem with the old 15V circuits.
Regards

David, take the grip electronics out of the wood and carefully examine the battery contacts, going into the circuit board and possibly under the red protectant. Most likely you will find blue or greenish corrosion. If the guns is still functioning normally now, and you clean all the corrosion off, you can save the circuit board. If not, in a very short time, you will have to buy a whole new board, and they are not cheap.
