USA Shooting Adds Delos Reyes to Enhance Communications Effort Through Rio 2016

USA Shooting added Jessica Delos Reyes to its team in support of their communications efforts.
USA Shooting is pleased to announce that Jessica Delos Reyes has been hired as the Media and Public Relations Manager as of April 1. She will work alongside Kevin Neuendorf on the organization's communications team to enhance outreach and improve efficiencies in lead-up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Delos Reyes has served as the Communications and Marketing Coordinator for USA Cycling and most recently, the Colorado Springs World Arena as their Marketing Communications Manager prior to coming to USA Shooting. With USA Cycling, Delos Reyes was integral in developing the organization's first multi-media, electronic media guide as well as management of media coverage at all mountain and track cycling events. Later with the World Arena, Delos Reyes worked as part of the in-house marketing firm where she managed communications, graphic design and grassroots promotions for touring shows and concerts coming through the arena and Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts.

"It is an honor to join the talented staff at USA Shooting and work alongside these amazing athletes," Delos Reyes said. "I am really excited to work with this organization and continue to grow their communication efforts."

Delos Reyes' primary responsibilities will include serving as editor of USA Shooting News, generating media content for the shooting sports industry, the organization's website and social media channels.
"Increasing athlete and sport awareness inside the industry and beyond along with an in-house publication requires the abilities that Jessica possesses," said Neuendorf. "The organization has shown its commitment to improved communications with increased staffing capabilities and Jessica is the ideal complement to help boost our efforts in this area."
Delos Reyes replaces Katie Yergensen who had served as the manager since 2010 and helped bring the organization to new heights with a re-designed magazine along with vital media exposure in lead-up to the London Olympic Games.
A native of Billings, Mont., Delos Reyes graduated from Bemidji (Minn.) State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication. While at Bemidji State, she worked for three years on the college newspaper and attended the Associated Press Sports Editors' Sports Journalism Institute as well as received the UNITY Journalists of Color Founders Scholarship for an outstanding young Native American journalist. During her junior year, Delos Reyes served as a communications intern with US Paralympics. Since she was a child, Delos Reyes has been an avid ice hockey player and during her free time, she continues to play goalie for several area men's and women's hockey teams.
