¿..Which of these two versions is considered better FWB open sight ...?

I used the sight #2 for a while with my rifle, FWB 2602 and i thought that sight was made of too much plastic, i switched to an Anschutz 7020 Rear sight and am much happier.

I am not saying one is better than the other, just thought i would share my opinion.

The negative of the plastic (no.2) is that it degrades with time and ends up breaking.
No. 1 is the oldest (Fwb 601) and steel sheet....

I have both and they function the same . Adjust knobs are nicer on the late model but you need an allen wrench to take it off the rail or move it.
The plastic tunnel hood is very strong and both sight bodies are made from an alloy casting.

The early model has a knob to remove it from the dovetail, so no tools are needed.

#2 is a much better design. The only plastic on it is the cover. The rest of it is cast alumimum. The design is such that it has leaf springs inside that keeps constant pressure on the adjustment screws and should have no backlash.
