I am looking at a use 1813 prone rifle and would like an idea on cost. The seller is indicating 98% new metal and 95% for the wood stock. They had sanded down (nominal amount) the cheek piece for a better fit. with original sights

The barreled action might be a 1813, but the stock could be an 1811, or other. Many don't know what they have for sale. If you can get pics we'd be able to give you better advise. The stock will make several hundred dollars difference depending on what it has.

Give us an many details as possible as to what your looking at.

the barrelled action is an 1813 supermatch stocked in the prone stock making it an 1811 it is not the desired 1813 3p stock.

I figured i would get an honest answer from folks much more familair then i am about this rifle

$1000-$1100 would be reasonable in the described condition.

An 1813 is a free rifle with hook butt plate thumbhole stock and shallow forend ect built for shooting 3p.

A prone rifle is a1811 . An 1810 is a 3p rifle like a 1813 except that the forend is deep and designed to be used without a palm rest.

A true 1813 should fetch about $1500-1800. More with sights.

Please also note that the above picture is a Left handed rifle. that could change the value a bit.

is the model you are looking at Left or Right handed?

i am not in CA or dealing with Mark. but he does have the model of rifle i am looking at, and i thought it would give everyone a better Idea so i can get a approx price

In the uk the pictured rifle would fetch no more than £150- 250 at trade prices probably less. a true 1813 supermatch would fetch between £200 and £600 depending on condition

If that's the rear sight that's coming with the gun, that's not the original rear sight. The knobs are wrong for any Anschutz sight I've ever seen. Doesn't mean it's better or worse, just that it is.

As a rule sights do not come with the rifle when purchased new, they have to be purchased in addition to the rifle at additional cost.

Therefore there is no "original" sight set. Any sight purchase is"after market".

This is a 1811 prone rifle from probably the mid 80's. The value is substantially less than a 1813 would be but the barreled action and trigger alone is worth more than the 200 lbs. the guy from England quoted.

If you could go to England and buy 1813's for 200-600 lbs. a guy could buy a boat load of them and make a fortune in America.

This is worth maybe $1000 probably less without sights.

check out www.egun.de to find out how cheap these are in europe. you guys across the pond are paying a premium for what is quite common over here. Likewise we are paying huge premiums (and having to wait months!!) for stuff from the US.

Cant figure why, someone somewhere has a monopoly and is making cash out of both sides of the pond.


I will add tho that some parts of the older anschutz stuff, pre 18** series is starting to get harder to find in good condition.

I would urge you to compare it to a semi-comparable new Anschutz 1907
for a "mere" $2035. A better rifle brand new.

I really don't know where this guy gets the idea that this old rifle is worth $2225. Some research on this site would save you a ton of money.
