Problem with PGP 75

Hello.
I'm having problems with my Pardini PGP 75.
The rod used to install the weights seems to be bent.
The rod is touching the barrel at the top.
Can you please check if your rod is similar or if it's only mine that is this way.

My rod used to be straighter, but it's now like yours. Just get a hold of it and straighten it like it used to be when your pistol was new.

Better have a custom gunsmith take care of that for you. It shouldn't cost more than, say, $200-300.

Thank You.
I will try to straigthen the rod. The main problem is that now it is pushing against the barrel when assembled.
After taking the pistol apart to clean the barrel I can't put it together without
having to remove the rod.
Besides.... The grip has begun to crack trough a vein in the wood that passes though one of the holes that secures the rod.
The $200-$300 repair tag is a bit high for me, since the pistol costed 300€.
I will have to try and straighten the rod.
Thank You slofyr for your advice.

Oh Boy, tqb...You are missing the rubber grommet that fits into the
wire loop. It is what cushions the barrel from the wire loop...
Look at item #53 on the 10 P pardini pgp 75 exploded view:

You do not have to rebend the wire weight holder; just find something
that functions like the original rubber grommet, good luck;

PAW080 is right. I was only joking about the gunsmith.
I had forgotten about the grommet; it has been so long since I owned one. Easy fix.

I bought my Pardini PGP 75 used without a rod or weights. I made the rod myself and had a machine shop make the weights. I found a grommet at a hardware store.
I am sure you can fix yours by yourself.

Thank You all.
I will try to find a suitable rubber grommet. Just in case I've asked the Portuguese Pardini dealer for the 53 part.
In a few days I'll find out the cost of the part, and decide if I'll buy it or try to find some other way.

One more question.
Those of you that have acess to PGP 75 with several size grips (ex: at clubs), can you tell me if there are diferences in the rake angle between diferente grip sizes?
Thank You.
