Wondering if the quality of paper has a role in determining the accuracy of sius ascor scoring. A local thin paper roll is available , but don't know the effect on scoring accuracy.
Pl do revert.

The black paper you see unrrolling besides the SIUS-ASCOR electronic target unit has nothing to do with the scoring, it serves as a backup target to check bullet impacts.
The scoring itself is achieved via 4 fonocaptors placed in the front corners of the unit.

The black paper is used for scoring; the sound that the pellet creates when penetrating the paper is used to determine the shotlocation. You won't get any hits without the paperroll; when the roll stucks you get strange shotlocations.

The thin paper seems to move left and right in the machine, will that have an effect?

No as it is still during the shot.
