Looking for the stock with the short Length of Pull.
Currently I have 33cm (13 inch) on my current 1411 prone - see photo below

Is anyone know or can measure Anschutz aluminum stock 1918? Also about MEC Mark 1.
I've seen Grunig & Elmiger Revolution - it can be at least 5 cm less, and it fits really nice, but it is much more expensive.

Also for Anschutz 1918 (and probably MEC?) - can the pistol grip be tilted to the side? I mean that grip top end is fixed, but the bottom end moves to the right (making the grip not vertical) - that should straighten the right wrist - because the right arm is not coming from behind the stock, but from the right. And if the grip is vertical - then wrist has to bend.

I own the MEC Mark 1.
The LOP to the trigger when adjusted as close as it can with the TEC HRO buttplate is about 11.75 inches. max is about 15.75
Thats with the 2013 action. The grip does cant in that direction some.

Hi Nester,

you might get a better answer by asking for the measurement from the butt to the front of the grip, rather than from butt to trigger. Almost all match triggers can be moved to suit finger length, so it's more improtant to know whether the distance from butt to grip is suitable for you.

(Also, what is your frop size and your arm (glove) size? There are 3 versions: S, M, L).


Yes, I know that measuring to the trigger is not 100% correct, but generally trigger blade can be adjusted +- 5mm only, so this would not change the distance significantly.

don't forget that most modern stocks have the action (and trigger) much closer to the grip than your 1411.

The current Anschutz trigger (used since 1977) has about 25mm adjustment.

My old model 1413 is now in an AHG aluminum stock. My measurement for prone is considered too long by most. My measurement from front of grip to buttplate LOP is 13" and the trigger is 1.5" forward fo grip so Over All LOP is 14.5"

I have 36" sleeves and really long fingers, so use your judgement.

RE - Cant of grip: My Aluminum AHG Pistol Grip has the ability to cant, however when I did that, I found myself having improper recoil & follow through which resulted in larger groups. I returned the grip to vertical, concentrated on the grip and recoil looked & I shot much better. It is now set at the same vertical position as the 1413 wooden stock. I guess someone figured that out years ago.

I have seen some top prone shooters with a side-ways cant on the grip, but not too many. Most are pretty vertical.
