I've actually thought of this before:
Of course I'll make sure the pistol isn't loaded before checking the pressure.
But it tends to make you point it in an unwanted direction at the shooting line. The judges should object to such behaviour, but I've never heard of this happen.
I've suggested using a small mirror......... :-)

I don't point my gun at my face to read the gauge. I point it at my wife's so she can read it.

IMHO, the comments are made by someone who doesn't do much but hang on the internet, creating controversy. That way he can build up his ego and become an internet hero in his own mind. The position of the meter on a cylinder is a non-issue. Only someone who is so indoctrinated into nanny-state ideology would even think of this.

Agreed. Just a bunch of noise by those who don't know. Why didn't
anyone mention the little mirror that comes with it?? Like the
dentist uses? :-:
