I am think about selling my 1913 in an 1813 stock to a member from another club or from my club. The rifle was bought in the spring of 2008 it has a stainless barrel a few blemishes on the bolt but functions great and shoots great. The stock has been used has minor dings on it(which were there when i got it) and the gripping material is starting to wear off from use. The gun has no more than 7000 rounds through it and its not bedded. I was wondering what i should ask for when selling the rifle. I bought the second to last stainless 1913 Champions Choice had for 3000. I notice in the next catalog sent out that price of the guns went up about $700. Just curious to see what people think a fair price is.

Thats the problem i dont know what a good price for it would be and what a good price to pay for one is

Well the used barreled action is worth no more than about $1200.

The used stock is worth no more than about $900. But the 1813 is getting harder and harder to find. If its in pristine shape. If not maybe less???

In the UK your gun would change hands for no more than about £400.

I just bought a cherry nice 1913 with sights and other stuff like a carbon bloop tube, adjustable front and rear aperture, eagle eye, MEC adjustable handstop for for 2200. I felt that was a bit high, but again it is in excellent condition and I knew it was a shooter. So with sights a number under 2000 would be reasonable. I passed on a 1813 with sights last year for 1650. You can also search the classified section on this web page.

The gun is not going to be sold with sights as most people in our league are older gentalmen who use scopes and most have there own quality scope and are just looking for an upgraded rifle with out a scope on it.(i am partial to my scope)

I was just down Palmyra for the air/3P invitational as the coach for Penn State. I shoot 10M air in the winter and smallbore silhouette in the summer. The kids want me to shoot 3P on the alumni team so I bought the 1913. I was off a year due to an injury so I am just climbing back in air, and I have to start in on silhouette soon. So prone is on the back burner. Like everyone I wish I had more time.
