Apparently 3X Air or the Winter Airgun Matches at the OTC in Colorado Springs are kaput.
They will be having Olympic Team Trials for Air Pistol and Air Rifle at Anniston AL instead.

Me too, Rover, It looks like the powers that be at USA Shooting have decided to spend their members money on plane tickets and hotels for the "team" as opposed to getting some of it back, (while at the same time providing a nearly sold out event) as Winter air has been in the past. I don't know how the great facilities at Anniston and Camp Perry are going to be relevant if less than 15 people per event show up.
Every non supported shooter who does not live close is probably looking at up to 1500 Bucks to shoot 120 shots (80 for women) in Anniston, Al, and another 1500 to shoot the second try out at Camp Perry. If I travel that kind of distance, it is going to be for a lot more shooting than this. While I have enjoyed the winter air in the past, the only place I will probably ever shoot international again is at Desert Midwinter where it is fun, convenient and there is lots of shooting for everyone. Also the World Masters games will probably be worth going to in 2013.

I know a bunch of people from the West who would attended "3X Air", but I guess we're out of luck.
Be sure to come shoot with us at the Desert Mid-Winter matches. Lots of free guns, happy folks, Mexican food and beer, and you get to shoot and party with a lot of the Big Dogs, not to mention fun in the desert in the middle of winter.
