NRA blinder rule help.....

Post by Jordan1s »

Hello,

I was looking through the NRA rulebook for 10m sporter air rifle and couldn't find any rules/restrictions regarding blinders. Anyway, I was wondering if this blinder was legal for use in NRA 10m sporter rifle matches(I already know that use of lenses specifically designed for shooting are not permitted). Thanks in advance!

On the assumption that you're in the USA, the reason you didn't find any restrictions is because there aren't any!

You stated, "I already know that use of lenses specifically designed for shooting are not permitted." On what do you base that conclusion?

according to section 3.19 of the NRA rulebook, the second sentence states the following:

Specially made adjustable shooting glasses for target shooting are
prohibited.

It does help to identify the discipline you're asking about!

I believe that restriction is specific to Sporter Air Rifle, along with restrictions on jackets and trousers, and shoes. It is not found in Conventional or International Pistol (where I normally compete).
