newbie to air rifle, I recently bought a gehmann 590 sight and was wondering if some can tell me what the silver pin is that sticks out
at the 7:00 position?
thanks

I had a look on there website and unfortunately I have no idea what it could be.
My only suggestion would be to give Gehmann an email and ask them directly.

Thanks Barney
I also tried the web site but could not find any info either, after looking again
at the sight I think it is some sort of spring guide to provide tension for
the aperture movement?
thanks

Tom,
it is indeed a guide pin for the tensioing spring. The adjustment turrets are spring loaded to counter backlash. Walther used a similar system back in the '80s and '90s, and Steyr and FWB still do.
