Thanks for the advice. Anyone who has had similar experiences or has any advice please post. This air rifle is too nice to sit on a shelf for a year.

My daughter shot an AR 50 pro for a long time. She won 3P air junior nationals with it. At the JO though while on the line it failed to release air. I had to take it from the line and work on it and get it back to her so she could Finnish the match. 10 ring service looked at it but could not find any problem. I sold the rifle and the new owner traced it to the air cylinder and got another one from the club stock and I think that solved the problem, but I am not sure it's been a while,. You might see if you can barrow another cylinder and try it. It may not work but it will be easy to try. EASY STUFF FIRST.
PS. The rifle was extremely accurate, but I did find that the consistency was not as good when the air cylinder was down to about 1/3rd full. I tried to have the cyl. Finnish the match with the cyl still half full

I used to own and shoot an AR50 for about 3 years or so. My experience was mixed bag of content and frustration. When it worked it was really nice, but when I had issues, it was very hard for me to handle. I learned that the trigger should not be touched unless you have a dire need. Perhaps mine was set so light that the sears were just on the edge. Also it seems that system does not like dirt, so your best bet is to use scuba tank air if you can rather then a pump. My club mate found that out the hard way after $300+ repair bill.
I also had manometer just stop working on my steel cylinder so I bought an alu one(pricey).
Also, keep an eye on the little seal that is on the part that gets screwed into the cylinder, it will wear eventually, just like with any air rifle.
Again, when it worked it was very nice shoot, but it was little finicky so maybe fiddlers might not like it.
