Which one is better: IZH-35M or Walther SP22 M4

I am currently looking for a standard pistol (for a competitive shooting) and can't decide whether to go with a used IZH-35M ($600-$650) or a new Walther SP22 M4 ($650). Any advice would be useful.
The link to Walther SP22 M4:

IZH-35 accurate, superior track record, most parts available at EAA,lots of info on the internet, still a very sucessful pistol in active use
sp 22 m4 New and unproven, esp. at that price...an adaptation of a pistol (Walther P 22) much maligned on Rimfirecentral.com...scroll down to walther. The parent Walther factory has a bad reputation for after-sales service,as mentioned on this forum many times. I don't know if the M4 has a better chance of service through Umarex here in the states,or not. Only time will tell.
I have an IZH-35,and it is a proven pistol. In my opinion, which should not really carry too much weight,if I had the choice, I'd take the Izzy.

Completely wrong.
Please look at the guns, they are completely different.
Correct about the new and unproven though...
