I wanted to introduce our organization since its something that is of interest to most of you here. The Scholastic Shooting Trust is a public charity designed to raise and distribute money to university, college and high school shooting teams. Most of these teams are underfunded and need the help of their alumni and community members to support them. The Scholastic Shooting Trust is designed to provide long term funding by investing the donations and paying out earnings to the teams. The Scholastic Shooting Trust is part of MidwayUSA Foundation, which was formed by Larry and Brenda Potterfield to support shooting, hunting and outdoor sports. Let me know if you have any questions.

Local groups are encouraged to use the trust as a fundraising mechanism by encouraging alumni and community members to contribute suggesting their local team. The website takes credit card donations and there is information to make a check contribution.

The teams with funding balances will be eligible to apply for grants. This is the first year of the trust and we have a little over 20 teams funded and we are currently reviewing completed grant requests. Let me know if you have any questions.
