Bleeding a Feinwerkbau air cylinder?

I need to get the air out of my LG 700 alu in order to ship it to somebody.
The instruction book suggests shooting off the air, but this would take ages.
In the kit there is a short black cylindrical tool, knurled on the outside and with a thread and nipple on the inside.
I assume this is a bleed screw and it fits the thread on the FWB cylinder. But when I turn it it meets some resistance.
Am I right in my assumption that this is in fact a bleed screw?
Should I continue turning against the resistance, or just shoot the air off?
I have not been able to contact the dealer or distributor by phone.
I would appreciate advice from anyone who owns one of these air rifles.
