... what we really want is an electronic trigger for the LP10.
--------
Rumors of Steyr LP10 and LP50 prototypes featuring electronic trigger are surfacing from time to time.
When will they finally appear?
Just can´t wait...

The LP10 and LP50 electronic trigger is already out there according to my sources. Only as a special order and expensive but it does at least exist.

I have friend in China who is a close relative of Wang Yifu, head coach of the Chinese shooting team. He told me Wang has got a hold of a couple LP10 electronic known as LP10E. This prototype pistol combines cutting edge technology with space age materials that offer the shooter excellent control and forgiveness.
The grip on this gun is made from synthetic memory gel that conforms to the shape of your hand. The dual stage electronic trigger is unbelievably smooth, using two titanium coil spring and a 1 GHz TI microprocessor that is sensitive to within one thousandth of a gram. Also, the trigger can be programmed for weight adjustment and auto shot break for training, it is powered by three button batteries located inside the grip. But that is not all, Steyr this time offers multiple colors that you can mix and match between the frame, cylinder and the barrel shroud. According to him Wang’s gun is a mix of red frame, gold cylinder and barrel which represent the colors of the Chinese flag.
What's more impressive is there are already couple junior shooters in China who have already shot perfect 600 with the LP10E. According to trainers in China if you know a bit off fuzzy logic you can program the gun to adapt to your arc and shot a ten all the time, even if your arc is the size of the frame that holds the target.
I can’t wait to get one ...
P.S. RWS designed a synthetic plastic pellets just for this gun, it employees nano technology that interacts with the gun’s microprocessor to calculate when the shot should break in order to guarantee a ten.

This may be a joke but . . . memory gel grips - now that sounds like a fantastic idea. Why wouldnt such grips work??

Probably because you'd never be able to reproduce the exact grip position / alignment from shot to shot. The grips would also touch everywhere, including where they shouldn't - like the trigger finger and finger tips.
