I have had my Morini 162EI Short for several years. I have never had the seals replaced. I have noticed that if I leave the cylinders on the gun that they slowly leak to empty. When off the gun they stay full. Is it time to replace seals in my Morini? Is this a DIY project, or do I need to send my air pistol off to have it done?

It happened me the same thing with my Morini 162E, the problem disappeared when replacing the o'rings. They advised me to send the pistol outside of my country (Argentina) to repair it, but it was very expensive for me. At the end it replaces them myself thanks to a despiece diagram that I found in internet.

I found the exploded view of the 162 on our host's 10P files and that was helpful. Can you give some details as to how to disassemble and replace the seals? Maybe you can direct me to a good book or website. Thanks in advance.

My pistol corresponded the first model that brought fixed cylinder. Use the same exploted views that you found.

I began disassembling the cylinder and then it disarms it. With the repair's set (numbered) I began to replace (with much care) those of the cylinder: 162020A, 162008A (x2), 162007A, 162010A (to see: http://www.pilkguns.com/tenp/cm162eexa.jpg).

Then disassemble the barrel and replace the o'ring 162001A (x2) (to see http://www.pilkguns.com/tenp/cm162eex.htm), finally I disarms the body and replace the 162052A and 162027A. In this part it is necessary to have much care and to mark the adjusting position that has the screw 162078 (then in the armed it with the same adjustment). With this screw the throughput of air is regulated to give ledger or pettier speed to the pellet; unless You wants to take the work of regulating again (as I made) by means of a chronograph. You can select the appropriate speed (for the better precision) according to the pellets that you to use.

I realize all this task carefully and meticulously thanks to the exploted views of Pilkguns.com, and to the kit repair that Mr Scott ships me.

Per luck the pistol is as new. (I am even crying because they stole it to me recently). Morini per far the best!!. I wait to have helped you in something.

Sorry about the loss of your Morini. I hope it finds its way back to you. Thanks for your response. I still am a little concerned about doing the replacement of the seals myself. I may send it off to Pilkguns after the last match of the season at the end of next month.

Think this thread is helpfull to me. I just tried to fill my 162 E. However, at about 180 bar, it started leaking. Hearable at the back of the cilinder.
What seal(s) are the most likely to cause this?
162008A?
The second explodedview link of our argentinian friend is the younger 162 IE? Its different from the first..
Pilkguns should have seals I suppose, but are there any other suppliers?
Pilkguns tech staff is away for shooting until August if I understood correctly..

Update. I sent my Morini 162EI to Pilkingtons. They traced the problem to a defect (a tiny hole) in the frame of the gun. Morini replaced the gun's frame and Pilkingtons rebuilt the gun and shipped it back to me. I had purchased this gun quite a few years ago. In spite of this, all this was done free of charge. Morini and Pilkingtons are tops in my book. This isn't the first time I've had tremendous service from Pilkingtons. You can't go wrong with people like this backing up their equipment.

I have just bought a very nice S/H Morini CM 162E that is in need of a complete seal replacement. It leaks air out of the cylinder seals past 160bar.

I have stripped the cylinder down and you can see where the O-ring seals have hardened and flattened out with age.

I am trying to track down the correct O-Ring sizes. So far a quick Google has revealed a few. Could anyone help with the missing sizes please?
