How many air cylinder refill will I get from a 13 cubic foot air tank?

The air cylinder is for an AP, the Steyr LP-50.
I didn't want to bring the 80 cf tank on trips by car but would like to have some ability to refill and thought one of the small tanks might work. Does anybody know how many decent, usable refills I can pull out of a small tank?

You could try www.chairgun.com

You can get some idea by using the software programme Chairgun (www.chairgun.com). (can be run for free).

Under 'Extras', there's a "Bottle Charging" applet. After you entered your data (pressures and volumes), this will show the number of fills you can get. Including a list showing what pressure remains after each refill.

Its results seem pretty much OK with the number of refills that I get from my scuba tank.

I suggest if you really want something to travel with just get a good pump. YOu'll only be topping off the cyclinders after you've finished shooting so it's no big deal. With another tank that means more Visual Inspections and Hydro tests to pay for too.

Here is another good calculator.

By the way how many CC do the Steyr cylinders hold?

My LP2 has 68cc - its a standard cylinder as opposed to a 'junior' style. Even from a 3l cylinder I get masses of fills, and its not like you have to fill it to 200bar - even starting at 160 should be fine for an AP60 match, with plenty to spare.
