I would like to make a replacement pin for my TOZ. It holds the small lever in place. It measures .040. It is not on the TOZ parts diagram. Can I use round spring steel from Brownell's (cut to length) as a pin? Is spring steel rigid enough or will it tend to bend over time? If spring steel is not a good idea what else will work?
Thanks,
Susan

Piano wire
A very good source of wire for pins is your local hobby shop.
Spring steel piano wire is available in both imperial and metric sizes.
