Trying to decide which one to buy. If anyone has knowlege with either gun please let me know the pros and cons of them. Thanks for your input. jeff

Having shot the SP1, SSP and the Matchgun MG2, if you are in the market for a STD pistol the MG2 is an excellent gun. It is fussy and takes a while to setup but support on this form is great and the Matchguns to date with me has been excellent!

I've shot the SSP, MG2, GSP, GSP expert, and SP.

I agree with Brian the MG 2 is a nice gun if, and when you get it working reliably. That being said if it is you only pistol or first pistol I suggets getting something more proven ie the Pardini or GSP.

The main reason I suggest this is to lessen your disappointment, the MG2 sometimes works great out of the box or sometimes you're going to have to change parts to get it to work, they seem to be standing behind their product, which is great. I'm glad to here Brian is happy with his but that being said I think he had some help getting his working, you may not have that support or technical ability yourself. The last thing someone who gets their first pistol wants to do is wait to get parts to make it work. The same goes for the SSP (which I'm thinking of buying one soon).

So if you have another gun to fall back on, and have the techincal ability to repair and troubleshoot problems then the MG2 is a very nice pistol (when I first shot it it almost felt like shooting an air pistol). I've shot the SSP and liked it as well (some say they didn't like the trigger) but I was able to shoot a couple and make adjustments to the trigger and really liked it after adjusting.
