Does anybody here have any information as to why one system would be preferred over the other? AP & FP.
Any and all comments, insights, or well-grounded opinions welcome.

I have always used Scatt but my advice would be to check what others in your club/area are using and then get the same as them.
You can get a lot of advice from us here on TT but it is no substitute for getting face-to-face help.
Both systems are highly respected.

I have a Rika and like it, but If I were to buy new today I'd get a Scatt the new USB Scatt is really nice, the sensor is much lighter than the Rika (which for pistol makes a big difference for rifle not so much). I've toyed with the Idea of replacing my Rika with a Scatt. Other than that they are both good systems and if I were buying used a woudln't pass up a RIka if one was available at a price you wanted to pay.

Do both systems do the same basic "stuff"?
Does either (both?) work with dry firing a Morini electric trigger? It appears that they can work with dry firing a mechanical trigger where there's definite CLICK, but I'm wondering if they would pick up the more subtle noise/vibration from the electrical trigger.

It is certainly no broblem with a Scatt, I've done it on numerous 162EIs.
I would be amazed if the Rike had a problem in this respect.
Yes, they both do the same basic stuff, just presenting it in slightly different ways.
They are both good systems.

Both work fine with a Morini
